About Dr. Alice Furman
Alice Furman is an internist who has practiced medicine in New York City since 1996. Dr. Furman received her undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania and her medical degree from The Mount Sinai School of Medicine where she was elected to the AOA Honor Society. She continued her training at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in internal medicine and then completed a fellowship in Infectious Disease at Weill Cornell /New York Hospital Medical Center.
Initially Dr. Furman practiced both infectious disease and internal medicine and is boarded in both specialties. She decided that she loved the continuity of patient care so she has now focused her practice on internal medicine. She has enjoyed the close doctor/patient relationship and sees her role as a quarterback in all aspects of patient care. While she started concierge medicine in 2010 in a hybrid practice, she has converted her practice to a full-time concierge model. She enjoys the close patient relationships, spending more time with her patients, and the more intimate practice setting. She focuses on all aspects of patient care, including preventative medicine, psychological support and urgent care as the need arises. She loves what she does every day and finds her practice extremely rewarding. 2024 Castle Connelly Top Doctor |
